Returned To You - Kanda Yuu x Reader

Dead...your beloved Kanda Yuu was dead, at first you didn't want to believe it but when you watched him leave with Alma and actually pretty much helped Allen with buying them time to be together you knew that at some point as a month passed that your boyfriend was indeed gone.

Even though it hurt you a lot you didn't let yourself break completely down since you could always remember whenever you were sad around him Kanda would just scoff and tell you some small lecture before patting your head.

Sighing you were currently sitting with Lenalee and Marie, your last assignment was finally finished and your face was bandaged up a bit but more so with your shoulder and arm. But other then that you were fine. The wounds you had gotten didn't hurt as much anymore as your thoughts continued to move towards Kanda.

"Thinking of him again?" Marie asked.
"It's that noticeable huh?" You laughed a bit.
"We don't blame you for thinking about him, he was your boyfriend after all..." Lenalee commented.
"When I saw him leave with Alma...I had a short moment of a feeling that I was being pushed aside....but when I thought about it more, I realized he needed to be with Alma..so that feeling went away and I let him go." You told.
"(Y/N)...." Lenalee whispered.
"But now I regret not at least saying something to him...." You managed to say through tears.
"Say what to me?" A voice spoke out.

Eyes widening as you and Lenalee looked up to see a figure walking towards you three with a usual smirk on his face, it was him. Kanda Yuu. Your beloved right there in front of you, stopping at a small distance from you all you could see was Kanda's face everything around you didn't matter.

"(Y/N)?" He asked.
"You idiot...you were free..." You mumbled.
"Yeah well I've returned." He replied.

Not giving him time to continue at all you threw your arms around his neck and hugged him tightly, a cry came from your mouth as you started to cry from relief to see him once more and very much alive. Lenalee and Marie smiled at the two and walked away to give the lovers some time alone before they all returned to the order.

"Didn't I tell you to not cry so much?" Kanda sighed arms wrapped around you.
"Yeah...but I'm so relieved you alive..." You laughed a bit.
"Heh...like I've told you before...it will take a lot more to kill me." He smirked, face buried in your (h/c) hair.
"Why did you return?" You asked.
"Many reasons....one of them was cause I had to protect the one thing I love most.....you." He mumbled in your ear.
"Welcome back, Kanda...." You smiled.
"Ahh...I'm home..." He whispered.

Pulling away from one another you smiled and him as you let the man you love so dearly who has finally returned to you alive and well lean in and press a kiss to your lips, it felt like he hadn't left at all. But once you two kissed to you it felt like all that waiting to see if he was truly alive was all worth it.

Because you know why?

He returned to you, his home.
